Terms of Use
By downloading or using TV Remote: Universal TV Remote Control (“TV Remote”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Questions may be sent to remote@otipu.com.
License and permitted use
You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use TV Remote on devices you own or are authorized to control. Do not misuse the app, disrupt networks, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected components where prohibited, or control a TV without permission.
Your responsibility
Confirm the selected TV before sending commands, opening apps, changing inputs, running routines or setting timers. You are responsible for your phone, network, TV access and use by anyone with access to your device.
Compatibility and availability
Operation depends on TV hardware, firmware, standby settings, permissions, router behavior and local protocols. Features may differ, stop working after third-party updates or be unavailable on some models. TV Remote does not guarantee uninterrupted discovery, wake or control.
No emergency use
TV Remote is a convenience utility. Do not rely on it for emergencies, accessibility-critical operation, security, health, property protection or any situation where delayed or failed commands could cause harm.
Intellectual property and brands
TV Remote, its original interface and app assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. TV, platform and streaming-service names or marks belong to their respective owners and identify compatibility only. No endorsement or affiliation is claimed.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TV Remote is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability or compatibility. Consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost data, network problems, TV behavior or third-party service changes arising from use of TV Remote. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only as law permits.
Changes and termination
Features or these terms may change through app updates. You may stop using TV Remote at any time. The license ends if you materially breach these terms. Provisions intended to survive termination remain effective.
Store terms
Your app-store provider’s terms also apply. If these terms conflict with mandatory law or store terms, those controlling terms govern only to the extent of the conflict.
